Scholarship at O’Brien & Eggleston PLLC

O’Brien & Eggleston PLLC is excited to announce its annual scholarship, available to students who will be attending school in the fall of 2025 as either pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students. This $1,000 scholarship aims to assist students with the expenses associated with attending a school anywhere in the United States.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must have been accepted into a school and will be attending as either pre-law undergraduates or first-year law students in the fall of 2024.
  • Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Application Requirements:

Applicants must submit the following by February 15th, 2025:

  • A completed resume.
  • A one to three (1-3) page typed essay on a topic of their choice related to the area of law they intend to pursue.
  • A complete copy of their school transcripts.
  • An acceptance letter from a school within the United States.
  • Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc. Social security cards will not be accepted.)

Award Details:

  • The scholarship is to be used exclusively for school tuition and related expenses.
  • A $1,000 check will be made payable directly to the award recipients to cover these expenses.
  • Recipients are expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.
  • The scholarship award recipient will be notified of their selection on or about February 28, 2025.
